With the busy August schedule, playing every weekend and midweek, there were 2 changes to the team from Saturday to freshen things up. Callum Watson came into defensive mid and Michael Anderson got a well deserved start up top after his 2 impressive performances since coming back from injury. The gaffer had one main instruction for the team today - after giving away 3 cheap goals against AS Airdrie, the team were instructed to give nothing away easy today. They got bodies forward and worked the ball out to the right hand side of the box. Shaw striker Michael Clarke faked a shot with his left foot which sold out defender and cut on to his right from an acute angle and managed to smash a shot past our keeper into the far corner for a good finish. A defendable situation, but the striker did well to work his own space and finish it off in style.
